You will be accountable for the following tasks including but not limited to:
- Provide overall technical lead on the FEED and detail design workstream for TSOs (50Hertz, Amprion, Tennet, TransnetBW)
- Managing design works, monitoring and reporting via programme update, trackers and progress meetings helping to prepare schedules of work, work breakdown structures, and risk schedules
- Ensuring all designs are appropriately reviewed and approved in line with best practice, Jacobs procedures and by an appropriately qualified individual
- Contribute to Health and safety management of design including application of CDM regulations
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to the health and safety framework, policies and management system requirements and expectations
- Develop and maintain an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimise those risks
- Work with the resource manager to expand the team
- Work with the existing team to improve/implement efficient design processes
- Work with the wider team to ensure designs are sustainable and support environmental and planning aspects of the works
- Deal with any issues arising from the construction teams
- Strong communication skills along with teamworking attributes
- Customer-focused when dealing with customers, identifying their needs along with business development skills
Das bringst Du mit
- Degree qualified in Electrical/Structural/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience
- Track record of leading teams in the delivery of Front-End Engineering and design or Detailed design of EHV (150kV AC & DC upwards) substation/converter projects
- Minimum 10 Years of experience working for a client organization such as transmission system owner/operator, distribution network operator or a design consultancy delivering to such organization
- Strong German and English language skills
- Track proofed experience within German TSO and DSO market
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain existing and develop new client relationships
- Experience in coaching and developing junior engineers
- Flexibility to travel to client sites when required
- Capability to work under tight deadlines while achieving objectives with the ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately
