About the role

The role includes the following responsibilities and will grow into other areas over time, as you gain confidence and experience.

  • Assist in management and delivery of MCA, including data analysis, system inputs and stakeholder advice and guidance in support of MCA requirements.
  • Carry out testing of controls in place across the TTS businesses in UK/Europe/MEA to ensure risks are sufficiently mitigated in line with documented processes.
  • Provide administrative support for all covered geographies in managing/maintaining controls in the system.
  • Critically challenge and advise on risk decisions made by Assessment Unit Owners / Coordinators to ensure alignment with risk strategies, and to ensure a “do the right thing” approach.
  • Conduct end-to-end reviews of ARCM deployment and applicability to ensure consistency of across clusters, including gap identification and remediation.
  • Manage, develop and expand the suite of metrics tracking both across Clusters, MCA Teams and Globally.
  • Create, implement and/or improve processes through efficiencies/automation.
  • Manage communication and coordination of support with stakeholders across stakeholders.
  • Document and update procedures in a timely manner / conducting training sessions or walk-throughs to the team to enable effective application in BAU.
  • Analyse large data sets in excel to generate regular and ad-hoc reporting, identifying key trends and messages to support stakeholders with their day-to-day management.
  • Display data in an easily understood format, whether in MS PowerPoint or Excel.
  • Present findings / key messages to the relevant forums.
  • Look for ways to improve existing processes, create efficiencies and automate processes where possible.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Engage and assist with additional workstreams, as required.
  • Project Manage / lead initiatives, as required.

About the individual

You do not need to be an expert in the processes or systems that we will be supporting with as full training will be provided. We are looking for an individual with prior experience in a risk and control function, who understands Risk Management even though it may be in a different industry.

  • Relevant professional experience in Risk & Compliance, Operational Risk, Legal or other control related function within a financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof.
  • Ability and willingness to become the Teams metrics expert – able to product and interpret quantitative data and complete trend analysis in addition to further developing the metrics process.
  • Detail orientated, with exceptional analytical skills and ability to think critically.
  • Ability to challenge decision makers, while remaining respectful and professional.
  • Strong MS Excel skills – confident with pivot tables, creating charts and graphs, formulae like v-lookups, conditional formatting etc. Experience using Power BI or similar tools would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong MS PowerPoint skills – able to take the data you have analysed and present it in a clear and concise way in PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – able to explain complex processes in a way that is easily understood and build great relationships with our stakeholders.
  • Able to organise yourself, managing multiple processes simultaneously and balancing the requirements of different stakeholders. You will have the autonomy to manage your own priorities and conflicts and so need to be confident in your ability to do this.
  • Problem solving skills – not just the ability to analyse data and information to identify the problem but also coming up with creative and sustainable ways to fix the problem and where possible, enhance the solution.
