Acoustic Measurement Engineering Technician (Bothell, WA)
You will be a part of the Ultrasound Power Management team in Ultrasound Research & Development – creating Premium Diagnostic Ultrasound Development, and productization of world-class diagnostic ultrasound products and features. This is an in-lab role based in Bothell, WA.
Your role:
- Operation of automated and manual ultrasound acoustic output measurement equipment for the measurement and documentation of ultrasound output parameters in an acoustic measurement lab. Expertise in the use of acoustic tanks, hydrophones, force balances highly preferred.
- Use of ancillary equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, function generators, motor controllers to test, debug and set up a wide variety of ultrasound systems and transducers. Debugging of hardware, software, and metrology test setups to include resolution and corrective action, working with other engineering teams where appropriate.
- Perform minor mechanical design modifications and improvements to acoustic measurement equipment, establishing and executing calibration and maintenance procedures.
- Collect, tabulate, and analyze data, communicate test setup and results to technical staff and cross-functional teams. Provide support to product development teams. Write and release of various project documents including project history file, regulatory documents (510(k), various country regulatory forms, etc.), and test reports.
- Create and update/edit process documentation and test specifications developed in coordination with the departmental engineering staff.
- Work with product development engineering teams within the company to plan, schedule, implement, and release new features in ultrasound imaging modes.
You're the right fit if:
- The position is an engineering technician position and an AA degree in Physics, Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field is preferred.
- 5+ year of experience in a similar role
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills including meticulous data recording, report writing and general record keeping.
- Knowledge of a regulated FDA development environment is desirable.
- Must be a self-starter with good organizational and innovative thinking skills and able to thrive and adapt in a constantly changing cross-functional environment, often under schedule pressure.
- Ability to construct & maintain test set-ups.
- Some knowledge of programming languages related to test equipment and control. Some experience with LabView is desirable.
- Some experience in ultrasound measurement technology desirable.

The hourly pay range for this position is $27.52 to $47.17, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
