DESCRIPTION

Role Overview:As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our engineering team focused on pioneering new product development. Your primary responsibility will be the design and optimization of power electronics systems, specifically tailored to power our advanced phased array antenna customer terminals.Key Responsibilities:- Designing DC/DC power supplies and Point of Load to meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Leveraging expertise in various AC/DC topologies to optimize system performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Addressing EMI/EMC challenges in power adaptors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.- Developing efficiency, mass, and cost models for power electronics designs, exploring different topologies to enhance product line performance.
- Generating test plans and procedures, supporting flow-down requirement definitions, and overseeing design verification activities.
- Leading schematic capture and PCB layout design, ensuring robustness and manufacturability.
- Conducting board bring-up, executing test campaigns, and proposing effective solutions to design issues.Export Control Requirement:Redmond, WA, USA

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of proven experience in power electronics design, particularly in DC/DC and AC/DC power conversion
- 3+ years of experience in hardware development across full product life cycles – concept to production
- 3+ years of experience in signal and power integrity design and analysis
- Experience with measurement, troubleshooting and debug skills in a lab environment
- Experience with JDM/ODM partnership models and ability to effectively collaborate with external vendors.
- Experience in schematic capture tools and PCB layout design, with experience in leading design reviews.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of proven experience in power electronics design, particularly in DC/DC and AC/DC power conversion
- Experience with isolated topologies, such as resonant converters, flyback and forward converters.
- Solid understanding of different power electronics circuit topologies, including current sharing and multi-phase topologies.
- Experience developing high-efficiency DCDC power converters from concept to production.
- Ability to apply critical thinking in complex situations; experience working in cross functional groups including mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, test, reliability, and failure analysis.
- Experience with power, performance and cost optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to engage technology developers in the industry to track and apply emerging technologies to innovative power electronics designs.
