Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an integrated leadership communication strategy, framework and editorial plan that informs, inspires and engages employees and drives alignment to business strategies and priorities.
- Serve as counselor and thought partner to senior leadership on messaging, communications strategies, tactics and approach.
- Create written communications, presentations, videos and talking points for internal audiences, as well as key external-facing leadership communications including presentations, thought leadership content and social media posts.
- Partner with senior leadership and HR business partners on organizational change communications and other business-critical change management efforts.
- Identify gaps in organizational communication and implement solutions to help drive cross-functional collaboration and the achievement of top business priorities.
- Build strong internal relationships and foster collaboration among business partners and the Corporate Communications team.
- Provide project management and tactical support to ensure the timely completion of high-quality deliverables.
- Partner with Corporate Communications team members to identify divisional stories to elevate as part of a corporate narrative reaching global employees and the general public.
- Ensure a consistent and coherent voice in all communications that aligns with Boston Scientific corporate positioning and messaging.
- Coordinate cross-functional review and approval of content with company executives, marketing, clinical, legal, regulatory leaders and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or equivalent.
- A minimum of 7 years of employee engagement or leadership communications within a corporate or agency environment. Experience within the life sciences and medical device industry is preferred.
- Broad experience developing and executing strategic communications across internal and external channels focused on corporate brand reputation, business strategy, priorities, employee engagement and thought leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Proven ability to provide strategic counsel at all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to producing quality work on deadline.
- Demonstrated business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and translate complex ideas into a digestible format.
- Adept at working in a team environment while also displaying independence, initiative and enterprise; ability to maintain high productivity while balancing competing priorities.
- Excellent project management, organizational, planning and time management skills.
- Solutions-oriented, with a willingness to bring new ideas and try new approaches.
- Ability to collaborate with teams virtually across multiple locations and time zones.
- Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence; adept at consensus-building and incorporating differing viewpoints into recommendations.
