Responsibilities
As a Principal Planner within our Transportation business you will work with other planning experts and specialists in the team. You will be responsible for the leadership of tasks and small projects and provide direction to junior airport planners. In conjunction with the Technical Director and Team Leads, you will assist in developing the airport planning capability in terms of staff, tools and training, and support the team to significantly grow the project and client portfolio for airport planning commissions.
As an individual we would look to you to show delivery performance, excellent communication skills combined with being a team player. You will have a flair for creative problem solving, will be knowledgeable of current aviation industry initiatives, will proactively drive innovation and be passionate about airport development. You will help to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to supporting others across the team in delivering a high-quality service.
You will have demonstrable experience in the following areas, with a required specialism in capacity planning:
- Capacity and Demand Assessments/ Facility Requirements
- Airside Planning and Design
- Terminal Planning and Design
- Airport Simulation
- Airport Operations (terminal or airside)
- Airport Master Planning.
We would like to see experience & skills in the following:
- 8-15 years’ experience in international aviation/airport projects
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of EASA, ICAO and IATA standards
- Bid preparation
- Airport Engineering
- Good Office software capability
The following will be looked upon favourably:
- Post-graduate qualification in Airport Planning or similar degree
- Global industry network and profile
- Practical application of specialist Airport Planning Software (e.g. CAST, AirTOP, AviPlan, Vissim)
- Practical application of AutoCAD software
- Experience in traffic forecasting and analysis
- Experience of air traffic management
- Experience in airport business planning and capital expenditure
- Experience in technical transaction advisory.
