We are looking for a passionate
Principal Software Engineering Managerto join our M365 Security Protect engineering team. In this role, you will develop and maintain world-class, scalable, and reliable cloud services that are built to continually enhance and support the security posture of M365, while also creating innovative solutions to help our products meet security requirements seamlessly. You'll also be able to leverage AI and build Copilot technologies to stay ahead of attackers, enhancing our ability to innovate and protect.

In this group, you will help us build and architect new services and experiences that will extend our portfolio of world-class solutions for protecting M365. You will be responsible for leading, growing and mentoring a team of creative and passionate software engineers building high quality security cloud services in Azure. You will be investing your time into solving hard security problems, defining architecture, partnering, and ensuring high code quality, availability, scalability, and security of our services. You will be instrumental in creating a positive and productive engineering culture and cultivating this team to build best-in-class solutions with direct impact on protecting our M365 customers.

Required/ Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  
  • OR equivalent experience
• 3+ years of people management experience
• 2+ years of industry experience building, designing, managing and delivering highly available, large-scale: cloud services OR distributed systems / services on a cloud platform

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

• Experience Optimizing automation, reliability, and monitoring of Livesite.
• Experience working in the Cybersecurity domain.
