In this role, you'll set the strategic direction for health programs that measurably improve employee wellness. You'll optimize these programs to improve interconnectivity with other benefits and total rewards programs. You’ll monitor market trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and make continuous improvement recommendations related to our self-funded health plans within an advocacy and TPA framework, along with other strategic solutions address gaps in care with a user-centric focus.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with global benefits leaders and internal/external thought partners to shape the program strategy and define initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Provide internal consultation and interpretations around escalations from employees and the business and incorporate relevant feedback to improve on future program delivery.
  • Participate in key surveys and identify appropriate benchmarking to measure the competitive level of our programs and costs, balancing against expressed employee preferences and feedback.
  • Ensure internal and external program and vendor compliance with local regulations and PayPal standards.
  • Partner with vendors and People Analytics to develop program reporting on performance to review with stakeholders and review cross functional opportunities to improve on the employee experience across related programs outside of Benefits.
  • Develop an annual communications calendar to optimize for personalized, action-driving notifications and build a full inventory of compliant program resources and plan summaries

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Progressive experience in managing health plans, particularly US self-funded programs, including all aspects of relationship management for large value contracts
  • Experience rolling out innovative healthcare strategies and point solutions to deliver targeted outcomes, with effective process automation
  • Strong analytical experience around interpreting healthcare utilization and building scorecard metrics
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements to operate a plan with consistency
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership over sensitive and ambiguous escalations with minimal oversight
  • Ability to execute with high confidentiality, integrity, discretion, and attention to detail

The US national annual pay range for this role is $100,500 to $173,250
