Responsible for driving supply chain data analytics for integrated supply chain organizations, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis for multiple legal entities within the region.

Job Description

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Support data crunching activities to enable financial planning, estimation & closing cycles

  • Provide data support & financial models to cost reporting

  • Work closely with operations, marketing, HR, finance teams to come up with innovative financial modelling ideas

  • Implement simplification and digitization ideas

  • Ensure accurate headcount mapping, work on DRM hierarchy maintenance

  • Create analytics around Cost trends by operational team, develop account-level expertise and identify key drivers for variances (VPY, VOP, VPE, etc)

  • Prepare detailed Fx analytics

  • Support businesses from a financial perspective ensuring financial stewardship and controllership

  • Own the monthly / quarterly close process - submitting estimates, tracking actuals, driving corrective actions

  • Provide timely and accurate reporting across teams spanning multiple countries and legal entities

  • Comply with local and US GAAP reporting requirements as well as internal GE policies and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant/MBA Finance / Any Graduate / Data Analytics

  • 7 – 1 years of progressive data analytics experience

  • Should be proficient in BI / data visualization tools such as Alteryx/Domo, tableau, smartsheet etc.

  • Excellent analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change

  • Strong PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications such as Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, etc. Strong Excel skills in data compilations and aggregation (pivot tables, Vlookup etc, Hlookup, SumIFs etc)

  • Self-motivated, high energy individual who has process automation / digitization project expertise

  • Proven communication and stakeholder management skills

Desired Characteristics:

  • Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others

  • Experience working in a global environment with sound understanding of global processes and transaction flows

  • Experience working with remote managers and teams

  • Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma

  • Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas
