Description
1. You’ll spend a significant amount of your time working on engineering of distributed backend Java and B2B platforms which will be used across Apple's Supply chain integrations.2. You’ll lead by example and collaborate with your teammates to identify problem requirements, develop product roadmaps, and work with teams to implement long-lasting solutions. 3. You’ll engage with other teams to help identify issues and establish long-term relationships that include knowledge sharing.4. You’ll provide valuable feedback loops to engineering teams backed by application metrics and log data. 5. You’ll invest in areas of service scalability by driving relevant architectural projects, as well as collaborating with operations and other adjacent teams in planning meetings. 6. You’ll design new ways to scale Apple’s distributed services to ever increasing problem sizes. 7. You’ll collaborate with engineers who create Apple’s B2B technology and tools used across Apple's B2B supply chain.
Minimum Qualifications
- More than 10 years experience, at least 5 of which are in lead or management role
- Strong programming experience (more than 5+ years) using Java frameworks such as Spring
- Strong Middleware experience building frameworks using tools like Mulesoft, webMethods.
- Strong programming experience (more than 5+ years) in Java or Python
- More than 5+ years experience in working with Oracle or similar relational databases and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience writing components/frameworks/libraries that achieve software leverage
- Strong sense of responsibility
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong object oriented design and analysis skills
- Knowledge of HTTP/S, TCP, DNS, web application load balancing.
- Passion for programming and a good conceptual understanding of the operating environment
- Experience working in a large code base
- Working experience in Agile development methodology.
- Familiarity with AI/ML fundamentals is a plus
- Results oriented and demonstrates high degree of ownership and accountability.
