As a Software Development Manager, you will lead a team of talented engineers in designing and delivering solutions that scale globally. You'll own the technical roadmap for your team's services, making architectural decisions that balance innovation with operational excellence. A particular focus will be leveraging AI/LLM technologies to enhance how employees find and interact with workplace information, requiring you to make thoughtful technical choices while maintaining high standards for security, reliability, and performance.You will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and partner engineering teams to define and execute your team's technical strategy. Your role involves translating business requirements into technical solutions, mentoring engineers in their career growth, and establishing development practices that enable your team to deliver consistently. You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of your services, from design through deployment and operational excellence.Key job responsibilities

Drive integration with enterprise systems while maintaining high standards for security and reliability

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
