Ensure accurate and timely filing of statutory reports and maintain overall responsibility for the accuracy of statutory financials per local GAAP, based on US-GAAP.
Manage multiple direct reports remotely and oversee any outsourced service providers.
Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations and country requirements for books and records.
Proactively partner with commercial finance, tax, treasury, and legal teams on projects, finance compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures from a statutory perspective, ensuring local implications are understood and addressed.
Requirements:
Experienced people manager with a track record of managing remote teams.
Master’s degree in finance or equivalent experience, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration, and/or professional qualifications (CPA/ACCA/WP/StB or equivalent).
Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in a similar finance function with in-depth knowledge of statutory GAAP and US-GAAP or IFRS accounting.
Excellent communication skills in English and German (native/C1+ level), with proficiency in standard office software (especially Excel) and hands-on experience with standard ERPs (SAP preferred).
Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements, with experience leading external audits and working within a matrix organization and remote teams in a high-paced international environment
