Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of statutory reports and maintain overall responsibility for the accuracy of statutory financials per local GAAP, based on US-GAAP.
- Manage multiple direct reports remotely and oversee any outsourced service providers.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations and country requirements for books and records.
- Proactively partner with commercial finance, tax, treasury, and legal teams on projects, finance compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures from a statutory perspective, ensuring local implications are understood and addressed.
Requirements:
- Experienced people manager with a track record of managing remote teams.
- Master’s degree in finance or equivalent experience, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration, and/or professional qualifications (CPA/ACCA/WP/StB or equivalent).
- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in a similar finance function with in-depth knowledge of statutory GAAP and US-GAAP or IFRS accounting.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German (native/C1+ level), with proficiency in standard office software (especially Excel) and hands-on experience with standard ERPs (SAP preferred).
- Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements, with experience leading external audits and working within a matrix organization and remote teams in a high-paced international environment
