The Data Quality Senior Analyst is responsible for reporting and analytics of the organization's data management strategy, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance across all functions within O&T. This role involves the development, implementation, and enforcement of data governance requirements to maintain a high standards of data governance across data quality, privacy, misuse and retention specified within Citi policies and standards.
This role requires someone who is dynamic, flexible, and can easily respond to quickly changing needs. The candidate must have the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity and be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others.
Responsibilities:
- Data collection & integration:Gather, clean, and integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., internal database, third-party tools, etc.) to ensure completeness and accuracy for analysis and reporting.
- Report Creation & Maintenance:Design, develop, and maintain regular reports and dashboards, ensuring they are up-to-date, relevant, and accurate to support business decision-making.
- Data Analysis & Insights:Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business strategies and performance improvements.
- Ad-Hoc Reporting:Provide ad-hoc analytical support to department leaders by creating custom reports or conducting specific analysis as needed.
- Data Quality Assurance:Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies or issues, and implement solutions to ensure data integrity across all reports and dashboards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, gather requirements, and ensure that deliverables align with department objectives.
- Process Improvement:Continuously evaluate and improve reporting processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall impact.
- Presentation of Findings:Prepare clear and concise presentations to communicate complex data findings, insights, and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Trend Monitoring:Track industry trends and competitive benchmarks, providing insights that inform business strategy and decision-making.
- Support Data Governance:Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices related to data quality, privacy, misuse, and records management. Participate in the stakeholder engagements as subject matter expert for data governance policy to drive data concerns, breaches and issues across their lifecycle.
- Informed metrics reporting:Understand the existing data risk/ governance metrics (or propose additional metrics), collect and synthesize baseline data to deliver a report that will enhance transparency and enable data-driven decision-making for senior stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years relevant experience in a Data Governance/ Data Management/ Process Engineering/ Reporting and Analytics or related area
- A strong desire to learn new processes, products, metrics and controls
- Excellent interpersonal, communications skills and teamwork
- Ability to visualize data to create 'fit for purpose' storyboards for leadership presentations
- Advance technical skills in data analytics and reporting tools such as excel (advanced functions, Power query, pivot tables, and VBA), PowerPoint (Leadership presentation), Cognos, Tableau dashboards
- Ability to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes, with the ability to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders
- Ability to communicate effectively to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
- Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies and tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, master's degree preferred
- Data governance/ analytics certifications would be an added advantage
