Mergers and acquisitions are among the most complex projects for a company, with significant strategic impact. The risks associated with such a transaction can be substantial, with many factors influencing the success and speed of the transaction. To avoid the well-known "cat in the bag," the buyer must conduct thorough research into the financial, commercial, operational, and legal aspects of the company to be acquired. The specialists in Transaction Diligence act as a spider in the web when conducting financial due diligence investigations.
Within the Transaction Diligence department, we investigate and analyze financial results to understand the story behind them and gauge financial health. The goal is to assist our clients in making strategic investment decisions. You will work closely on a project with direct colleagues and other departments within EY to form a complete picture of the company being investigated. Our clients are very diverse, including multinationals, SMEs, financial institutions, and private equity firms.
Your office
Our Amsterdam office is located at the Zuidas: a bustling area full of companies. In our Cross Towers, we welcome up to 1,500 people every day. For a breathtaking view of the city, head to the 22nd floor. Collaboration takes on a new meaning in our Wavespace, a high-tech environment that connects clients and colleagues virtually across the globe.
Our office in Rotterdam is our headquarters and offers a stunning location along the Maas River with views of the Erasmus Bridge. You can walk straight into the city, and there’s a cosy coffee bar downstairs. On sunny days, colleagues enjoy their lunch outside by the water. Not a standard questionnaire, but a game-based assessment focusing on both your cognitive skills and behavioral preferences. We’ll discuss the results during the interview, which will include a colleague from the relevant department. This mutual introduction is a chance for us to get to know you, and for you to ask any questions you have.
4. Second interview:If we see a match and you’re still enthusiastic, we’ll invite you for a second interview. We’ll dive deeper into the role and other relevant topics. Sometimes, a business case is part of the process. A final interview may also follow.
