We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong focus on Azure technologies - as a pivotal member of our team, you will contribute to a variety of high-impact projects for major clients across multiple sectors. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, in-depth technical expertise and hands-on implementation skills to design and deploy robust cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our technological future, driving innovation, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our solutions.
- Full time employment with us is based on 40 hours per week
- This role can be based on a Hybrid basis from any of our key UK hub offices (Manchester, Bristol, Glasgow, London, Leeds or Winnersh)
Some key duties and responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement end-to-end cloud solutions with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
- Engage in hands-on implementation of cloud infrastructure, ensuring the architecture is robust, secure, and optimised for performance
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines and budget constraints
- Apply DevOps methodologies to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency
- Establish and maintain effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers and external partners
- Monitor and ensure solutions meet organisational standards for security, performance and compliance
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field with subsequent professional experience as a Solution Architect with a strong focus on cloud solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear, concise manner
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines
- Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure DevOps
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure, networking and security best practices
- Solid understanding of DevOps tools and methodologies, such as CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep or Terraform
- Proficiency in modern technology stacks including microservices architecture, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing
- Experience in developing comprehensive technical artefacts including solution diagrams, deployment guides and technical specifications
- Experience with geospatial technologies and solutions would be a significant bonus
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified or other related cloud certifications are highly desirable
