We are hiring a Principal Engineer, Mechanical Building Services based at our Singapore office. This role will provide technical capability in mechanical engineering in data center projects; working with the Building Services Lead focusing on technical aspects and project management. Main duties:
- Perform engineering tasks on the mechanical services detailed design (including calculations, computer simulations, specifications etc.) for, building M&E infrastructure.
- Review and understand scope, BIM, specifications and drawings from client briefs;
- Ensure that consistent quality standards and conformance with design plans / specifications are maintained across the project and coordination with other disciplines to ensure consistency across the project;
- Familiar and understand relevant Local Building Codes and international standards to ensure compliance;
- Help preparing proposal and bids;
- Engage with drafting and design staff to fulfill deliverables;
- Lead and attend to project/site meeting with Client, PM and Consultants from other disciplines;
- Conduct site inspection, and respond to technical queries;
- Understand and follow plans, procedures, workflows, systems and tools to meet specific project requirements;
- Liaise and coordinate relevant technical issues with other disciplines;
- Build cultivate and build relationships with client generally as a Doer/Seller role
- Write technical reports and specifications including functional descriptions for M&E systems;
- Support site supervision and plant commissioning activities when required.
To be a successful candidate, you shall possess:
- Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by PEB Singapore. Experience in BIM and 3D models is crucial.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience. Experience in data center projects is crucial.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
