ADS APS ESAAS team provides 24*7 ESAAS Administration support including installation, configuration, and maintenance of environment for 3000 users running 70+ applications hosted on 400+ LINUX servers. The team uses L1/L2/L3 support model to process the user requests. The build of new environment is processed per request from application teams.
Job Description
As an Individual Contributor ESAAS Administrator is responsible for maintaining ESAAS platforms. Involved in day-to-day installation, migration of projects, maintenances, unplanned outages and issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Configuration of operating system level and application related environment files
- Installation of ESAAS tools or patches.
- Create projects, manage users/groups/privileges, setting project level variables as part of Application on-boarding
- Establish connectivity between ESAAS and various database servers based on Application requirements
- Proactively work on request/issues reported by Application team members and complete them within defined SLAs
- Provide ESAAS/LINUX support during server/service outages
- Co-ordinate with external teams (System Admin, DBAs) and perform maintenance activities (software patching, configuration changes, upgrades, etc.) in defined maintenance windows
- Migrate ESAAS and LINUX assets to UAT and Prod servers by following all the deployment formalities and change management measures.
- Automate ESAAS and LINUX administration processes to reduce the manual effort.
- Performance tuning of ESAAS platform/servers
- Create detailed process and technical documentation
- Co-ordination with support partners/Vendors to resolve issues
- Assist and resolve production issues as part of support
- Follow best practices, platform usage standards and guidelines
Requirements
- Experience Range : 8 to 10 years
- Education : B. E, B. Tech, MCA
- Certifications If Any: NA

- Mandatory skills : ESAAS, LINUX OS, Database
- 8+ years of administration experience with ESAAS 9.x or higher versions
- Install, upgrade and patching experience with ESAAS 9.x or higher versions
- Good knowledge in Data Warehousing and ETL concepts
- Good knowledge in DataStage development
- Basic understanding of ESAAS architecture – Tiers, Services and installation topologies
- Basic understanding of ESAAS/DataStage administration
- Good knowledge on all the basic stages, properties and functionalities available in DataStage Designer, Director and Administrator clients
- Basic knowledge on LINUX Administration, basic commands and scripting experience
- Experience in connecting to various database servers from ESAAS servers using ODBC and native drivers
- Should be flexible in work timings – after-hours and on weekends if required as part of an on-call rotation schedule
Desired skills: ESAAS/ Administration, Suite tools – BG, FT, MWB & IA, SDM Ansible automation.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work independently, while guiding and assisting other support team members as needed
- Great Communication Skills - Must be able to professionally communicate and interface with Teammates, Peer Technology Groups, Clients and Vendors of the Bank to provide best-in-class service delivery
Work Timings: 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM IST (or) 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST
5 days a week (Sun to Thu, Tue to Sat or Mon to Fri)
