As a Technology Operation Professional in the Infrastructure Platforms (IP) EMEA Locations, you will be responsible for key functions within the IP EMEA Regional Management & wider Global Technology DRIVE. You will adhere to IP Service Delivery and Technology Policies, Standards and Procedures, focus on meeting SLA across Incident, Problem, Change & Request Management processes, and provide due diligence and escalation on all changes impacting location. This role provides an opportunity to work in a multi-task environment, managing interruptions and prioritization, and promoting a technology self-service culture and tools to the clients.
Job responsibilities
- Adhere to IP Service Delivery and Technology Policies, Standards and Procedures
- Focus on meeting SLA across Incident, Problem, Change & Request Management processes
- Provide due diligence and escalation on all changes impacting location. Fully scrutinize proposed change details identifying potential impact to the local infrastructure, applications, regulatory requirements and ultimately the business
- Ensure DC/MER/TR/Storeroom and in general all IP spaces in the locations are always in good conditions, secured, cable managed, and nothing is left out of place
- Provide Data Center access supervision and support for maintenance, building, racking, unracking, connecting and decommissioning activities
- Execute of infrastructure engineering activities such as design, implementation, monitoring, capacity planning
- Execute of the Global IP Vulnerability Management lifecycle, including identification, reporting and remediation of vulnerability management issues
- Assist the Technology Lead in improving productivity resulting in increased cost effectiveness and value
- Ensure information controls, back-up and recovery strategies are in place across all environments
- Provide problem management support to problematic recurring incidents ensuring root cause analysis is conducted and corrective action plans are in place
- Provide support coverage for the required timeframe in the location, ensuring on call support on a Rota basis if required
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of related technology experience working with multiple technologies and complex, large scale, cross-functional project / production / service delivery and client support, preferably in the financial services industry and in large organizations
- Knowledge of Active Directory, SCCM, SCO, Backup solutions,Linux/Unix/ESX/ VMware clusters for compute,Windows servers,Hardware & Software architecture, Microsoft Exchange Server, Skype, Teams, O365, NAS storage,scripting PowerShell, Python
- Experience in vendor management (obtaining quotes/proposals, raising/sending purchase orders, payments, and reconciliation, etc.)
- Ability to work in a multi-task environment, managing interruptions and prioritization
- Experience with incident management / change management (ServiceNow or similar systems)
- Experience in the key technology areas such as standard voice, preferably trader voice too, voice recording, network, rack & stack and cabling management
- Understanding of Network connections, routing, data transfer, Protocols, Firewalls, TCP/IP
- Analytical Thinking: identifying problems and proposing ways to mitigate the risk
Preferred Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in technology related area preferred
- Knowledge of cloud compute technology
- CompTIA A+ certified or equivalent knowledge
- CompTIA Server+ certified or equivalent knowledge
- CompTIA Network+ certified / Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent knowledge
