Job Responsibilities
You will be joining our Intermediary/Institutional Sales Support Team. The individual will provide support for all facets of the sales, business development, relationship management and retention process:
- Research trends within the distribution channel universe; staying well-informed of industry developments, regulatory/legal changes and their implications for clients’ portfolios Assist with the preparation of material for strategy meets / business reviews / sales conferences
- Understand current and new/prospect client relationships, their asset allocation preferences and assist in client review presentations including gathering client intel and preparing client briefing memos
- Creating and updating client reports/deliverables that are adhoc or periodic in nature: DDQs, RFPs, pitchbooks, client presentations and other meeting materials
- Response to client queries (email) and manage client communications, including in some cases, attend client calls (product reviews, portfolio reviews, business catch up) and document meeting notes
- Maintenance of client’s information in various internal databases like SalesForce, Spectrum, etc. including documentation of sales activity for tracking and compliance purposes
- Partner with sales & marketing teams on new product launch initiatives (Actively managed ETFs, Sustainable strategies, etc.), client events and market research communications
- Liaise with Internal Client Advisors and Client Advisors on the generation of Portfolio Insights analysis reports, heatmap analysis, investment comparisons, hypotheticals, FI 360s, etc.
- On-boarding and oversight of new clients through the relevant due diligence and AML processes, monitor client reporting schedules
- Comprehensive understanding of the various platforms, asset classes, products and technical expertise to effectively execute & manage assigned BAU tasks and projects and actively drive stakeholder management by thinking beyond execution of tasks and identifying potential objections/problems coupled with initiative to address and resolve
- Take full ownership on the delivery and execution on a pipeline of sales-related tasks/activities of increasing complexity
- Gain a thorough understanding of the sales process to better align requirements to the ever-evolving business landscape and provide holistic support by partnering with various sales & marketing teams for client events, roadshows and market research communications
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Relevant industry experience and knowledge of sales process
- Strong Quantitative and analytical skillsets (including data analysis and ability to understand data flows)
- Understanding of Asset Management business (Investment Management, Mutual Funds, Managed Accounts, and/or Separate Accounts) preferable
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office product suite (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) required
- Experience working with an industry recognized CRM platform (Salesforce) is a plus
- Effective planning and time management skills to meet strict deadlines or changing priorities (able to self-prioritize and leverage resources to be problem solver)
- Professional and industrious attitude, possessing energy, ownership and confidence to complete work with limited supervision
- Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment, successfully and efficiently
- Stakeholder Management is key. Interact and communicate confidently and effectively with all stakeholders
- Ability to handle large volumes of work and prioritize appropriately, meet tight deadlines, and possess strong attention to detail
