Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).


Roles and responsibilities

  • Manages comprehensive planning, processes and materials systems, and prepares and updates production schedules and purchasing needs.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical expertise to execute policies/strategies.
  • You have knowledge of best practices and how your own area integrates with others; Know your competitors and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of established parameters to address more complex manufacturing processes with technical variety or interdependent production cycles.
  • Uses technical expertise and analytical thinking.
  • Uses various internal sources and limited external sources, outside their own teams to reach decisions.
  • Serves as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
  • May lead small projects with low resource requirements and risks.
  • Explains information; Develops skills in getting team members to reach consensus on issues within their field.
  • Conveys performance expectations and can handle sensitive problems.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • 4 years of related experience to the role.
