As an employee on our AWM Fraud Management team, you will ensure our clients receive the best fraud protection and remediation services in the industry. You will help to manage challenging situations by offering fraud detection, prevention, remediation, and recovery solutions, and helping manage customer expectations. Demonstrating delivery of best practices, you will leverage your deep understanding of prevention capabilities and fraud acumen to make informed decisions that protect or clients. As a Fraud Prevention Associate, you will work closely with clients and internal partners to mitigate the risk of fraud losses for clients and the firm. You will use your detective skill to sniff out suspicious activity on transactions and speak with clients to share red flags and potential ways to prevent future fraud. You will work closely with junior team members and internal partners of the team to ensure fraud alerts are decisioned timely.

Job Responsibilities:

As a successful candidate you will:

  • Lead a team of Fraud Prevention Analysts and ensure all daily functions are processed.
  • Oversee and provide operational support on transactions submitted on all channels available for the Private Bank for fraud concerns.
  • Collaborate with clients, internal partners, external banks, and law enforcement to mitigate losses.
  • Provide subject matter expert level for fraud escalations.
  • Exercises initiative and judgement to resolve problems within a range of established policies.
  • Partner with Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) to implement on fraud prevention and asset recovery best practices, including providing coaching to CCB employees.
  • Partner with Client Service to review eligible transactions or “stuck payments.”

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Should have a highly analytical with experience in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information on various subjects using Microsoft standard researched utilities at an expert proficiency level.
  • Must possess a client management skills – candidate must demonstrate the judgment and ability to closely partner with and advise senior and line managers or other stakeholders.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional judgment and the ability to independently identify and escalate key issues, obtain appropriate information form further analysis, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Must be flexible in his/her/their work style and be able to work appropriately with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
  • Should have specific knowledge of core banking systems, operation of common banking products, applicable laws, and regulations, and how each may be impacted by fraudulent activities.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years’ experience in Fraud Operations.
  • Experience with existing and emerging fraud trends in the banking industry preferred.
