Key job responsibilities
High level responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:* Work closely with engineers to build large-scale, highly distributed systems solving complex logistics problems for the Amazon supply chain business. Review both design specs and code and provide feedback to engineers to insist on highest standards in terms of system design and code quality.* Translate business requirements into engineering requirements to scope resource needs and manage multiple projects and dependencies effectively to deliver projects on schedule. Lead sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to assign work, monitor progress, and collect feedback.
* Drive operations excellence by analyzing ticket root causes, defects, and technical debt and creating projects to reduce both short-term and long-term operational load.

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
