Position Overview

The S/4HANA & DSC Regional Lead serves as the primary owner for the regional reference strategy in that solution area, in charge of driving for optimizing recruitment and activation of references regionally. They are accountable for maintaining full visibility on reference status and driving optimal planning of references recruitment and of their activation via regional marketing channels (e.g., field marketing, regional digital hubs, communications, etc.). The regional solution lead also provides guidance to field engagement managers on recruitment targets and prioritization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a holistic regional reference plan for the Solution area :S/4HANA & DSC
  • Current reference availability across types (wins, sales references, stories…) and relevant dimensions (segments, industries…)
  • Reference gaps and recruiting priorities, in alignment with regional programs and sales needs, and recruitment pools realities (e.g. past wins and go-lives)
  • Activation plan including major global Marketing channels (Social, Web, Events) and teams (AR, Coms)
  • Serve as the single point of contact person for regional stakeholders in that solution area (e.g. solution sales, field marketing, regional comms). Provide support and visibility including up-to-date reference availability data and key information on recruitment plan and upcoming activation activities
  • Lead and develop customer story strategy for Solution area by understanding regional marketing plans and ensuring the right stories and content type is built to support marketing plans
  • Own content activation strategy ensuring customer story content is represented in regional SAP sites, included in regional events, and incorporated in regional IDPs
  • Align with (incorporate and influence) Regional reference recruitment and activation plans
  • Orchestrate activation of references and stories on key global activation channels e.g. Social, Web, nurture emails…
  • Ensure continuous updating / upskilling of regional colleagues regarding the specifics of the Solution area e.g. portfolio priorities, “hot themes” to capture in interviews and highlight in stories etc
  • Recruit customer speakers for regional events. Ensure that the customers are represented in pre and post event plans

Required experience and skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to determine insights and make recommendations based on the insights
  • Knowledge of the Solution Area, including subareas and key products, value propositions and typical pain points addressed, target audiences etc
  • Keen sense of customer-centricity, ever mindful of why customers chose SAP and what motivates their advocacy for our offerings
  • Deep understanding of reference types (wins, sales reference, stories) and how each should be prioritized and activated across channels and customer engagement types
  • Storytelling skills, including the ability to build and promote engaging stories
  • Strong leadership and executive presence. Ability to manage and sometimes challenge diverging stakeholders’ requests and priorities
  • Ability to market their and their team’s value-add to the business in such a way that renders the offering indispensable and central to success
  • Proven capacity to operate in a global, virtual team across regions and organizations
