DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and architecting highly scalable, secure, and cutting-edge cloud-based solutions that meet the evolving needs of US SLG healthcare organizations. From electronic health records (EHR) systems and patient data security to telemedicine and healthcare integration, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of SLG-Health specific mission-critical initiatives that present unique challenges compared to other healthcare organizations. As SLG-Health Solutions Architect, you'll collaborate closely with hospital leadership, their IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand their unique requirements and translate them into strategic, cloud-based architectures that leverage the breadth and depth of AWS capabilities. Working backwards from customer needs, you'll architect secure, high-performing enterprise architecture and migration/modernization roadmaps. Your broad responsibilities include: owning technical engagement and project success; defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, and developing a deep expertise in AWS technologies.Key job responsibilities
1. Analyze unique IT requirements, challenges, and objectives of US SLG healthcare organizations, particularly in areas such as EHR management, patient data security, telemedicine, healthcare integration and interoperability.
2. Design and architect innovative, highly available, and secure AWS solutions that address specific needs of US SLG healthcare organizations, including EHR systems, data management, disaster recovery, and more.4. Providing technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams during the implementation and ongoing support of the AWS-based solutions.
5. Stay up-to-date with latest AWS services and best practices to optimize and enhance solutions for US SLG healthcare organizations.
6. Assisting with pre-sales activities, such as solution demonstrations and RFP responses, to help secure new business opportunities in the healthcare sector.
7. Contribute to development of healthcare-focused reference architectures and educational resources to benefit the broader AWS and healthcare communities.A day in the life

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 8+ years experience working in healthcare institutions in any of the following or similar roles: chief technology officer, chief information security officer, enterprise architect, director of clinical systems/IT operations, and other senior technologist roles.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working in complex State and Local Government healthcare organizations.
- Experience designing and architecting solutions for hospital IT systems including: hospital administration, revenue cycle, quality of care, population health, interoperability.
- Breadth and depth of knowledge about clinical and research systems widely used, healthcare interoperability standards, medical coding (ICD/RxNorm/SNOMED).
