Experience: 5+ YearsAbility to write good software in C.
Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux development tools, with knowledge of Linux virtualization.
Experience in network processor programming, POSIX thread programming.
Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, multicast protocols, network synchronization, segment routing, SDN, manageability (telemetry, gRPC, Netconf/Yang, etc.)
If the opening is for the Services Team, you should have good knowledge about Network Security Protocols like IEEE 802.1x, IEEE 802.1AE, NAT, IPSec etc Having working knowledge in areas like QoS, Netflow and Openflow will help you quickly integrate with the team and its mandate.
Good understanding of bridging and routing fundamentals. Working knowledge of unicast and multicast packet forwarding for both bridging and routing cases. Good understanding on campus or enterprise network deployment architectures. Hands on experience in development of L2 or L3 control plane protocols like STP/RSTP, UDLD, IGMP, RIP/OSPF/BGP/ISIS, BFD, PIM/MLD. Hands on experience in configuring and solving data plane features in ASICs.
