Expectation and Tasks:

• As a developer of the team, you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues:
• Develop SAP HANA Database with expertise in designing for scalability, reliability, and performance
• Be responsible for timely and high-quality product delivery
• Co-work with colleagues in North America, China, and Europe

Possible contribution areas:

• Database metadata management
• Service and tool for migrating on-prem database into a cloud database
• Database replication/move for virtualized data environment
• Integration of new GenAI engines into database
• Become an expert in SAP HANA Cloud as part of the SAP HANA Core team

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields
• Good knowledge in data structures, algorithms, software design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with new ideas and logical reasoning
• Strong expertise in C/C++
• Experience in multi-thread programming
• Experience in SQL, Python, Git
• Experienced in the development on Linux environment
• Responsibility, integrity, teamwork
• Creative thinking, willingness and ability to learn quickly new concepts and technologies

Preferred Qualifications (Plus factors):

• Fluency in modern C++ (C++ 11/14/17)
• Experience in Kubernetes and Docker
• Verbal and written working proficiency in English (intermediate)
• Knowledge in network and security (including authentication)
• Knowledge in database system including logging, recovery, replication, and transaction processing
• Experience in DB administration or DB application development
• Experience in GenAI/AI related development
