As an Account Executive, you will identify and develop new strategic opportunities with existing clients and new acquisition targets in the areas of AI and analytics. You will develop strong relationships with key customer contacts at all levels of the business to gain an understanding of key business drivers that influence purchasing decisions. This will be a part of our new AI Business Development Charter where there will be horizontal solution-selling across AI ecosystem from data management to data center to far edge and enable/activate broader sales organization on AI.
You will:
- Focus on both existing customers and support the Ireland acquisition team
- Large-whale hunting to win lighthouse references among, Enterprises, AI-startups/unicorns, public customers and service providers
- Organizing & coordinating across sales teams to bring full value of Dell to customers
- Enablement & evangelization, on-the-job activation of broader Sales team collaboration through the sales pods/virtual teams
Key Responsibilities
- Forge strong relationships within the Ireland sales teams and become their trusted partner and Analytics & AI subject matter expert.
- Works closely with sales and account managers to support sales opportunities by engaging and leveraging key Analytics & AI partners in the sales cycle.
- Develops the overall Analytics & AI strategy – that includes plans for the continued development of our delivery model through Dell Services and our partner eco-system, bookings and pipeline, sales enablement, and go-to-market.
- Work with and develop relevant new partners for this quickly developing part of the market for joint sales, marketing, and enablement for AI/Analytics solutions
- Ensures appropriate sales mapping with our partner eco-system
- Support Analytics & AI industry events
- Work with Marketing to publish and highlight customer wins through case studies, PR, and social media.
- Ensures Core sales, Channel Partners, ecosystem partners are educated to present the Dell Tech Analytics & AI strategy and value proposition to their customers and prospects.
- Willing to travel 25% of the time
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience working as a field seller in the Analytics industry with strong relationships in this space.
- Excellent presentation skills and comfortable with articulating Analytics & AI strategy and value proposition to key internal and external customers.
- Sound understanding of Hadoop, Splunk, Tensorflow, Pytorch, SAS, Apache Spark, and other AI/Analytics concepts
- Proven ability of working in a sales pod model, experienced in building trusted relationships with core sales & speciality teams to support their sales achievement targets.
- Effective communicator that can manage both business and technical relationships with a wide array of technology and channel partners across the globe and ability to work effectively in a complex sales model with senior management and an extended sales team
- Customer obsessed with highly effective skills related to developing, executing, and closing a sales process with urgency, grounded in proven history of delivering on sales metrics and kpi’s.
