Based out of your home office in Calgaryor Edmontonefforts of privately-owned infrastructure projects. You will have the opportunity to supportthrough field data collection efforts, andwith the development of technical reports, and regulatory applications, as well as field planning and coordination, field data collection and data management. This position willstart in the springan anticipatedfor fieldworkA successful offer will beor a 12-month contract depending on workload and/or skillset. Contracts have the potential of extension or conversation toBring your enthusiasm for learning and desire to conserve our natural resources, and
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in biology, related to ecology, hydrology, wetlands, botany, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Holdor be eligible forP.Biol. designation for Alberta. Biologist in Training may be considered.
- At least 2-5 years of relevant field lead experience in environmental consultingor equivalent.
- Proven field skillsas a Crew Leadand willingness to work in the field in remote locations for extended periods of timeifrequired.
- Proficiencyin satelliteand aerialimagery interpretation,classification,and delineation of wetlandsinAlberta.
- Strong skills inidentification ofwetlandvegetation, hydrological indicators,and hydric soils.
- Experience using ArcGIS software.
- A driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.

- Experience or interestin supportingother biophysical study areas such asreclamation, vegetation, wildlife, soils, and/or fisheries field assessments.
- R.P.Bio.designation for British Columbia.
- Experience classifying and delineating wetlands inSaskatchewan,Manitobaand/orBritish Columbia.
- Experience with remote sensing data interpretation.
