Major Responsibilities:
- Employ statistical methods to optimize AML scenarios for increased effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support Process Leads in the implementation and documentation of the Bank Transaction Monitoring (TM), Payment Screening Surveillance Tuning, and Optimization Program.
- Contribute to a continuous program of AML system improvements.
- Identify, assess, track and report risk gaps, emerging needs/trends, regulatory initiatives and redundancies/enhancement opportunities.
- Manage routine (BAU) projects/tasks and strategic initiatives within the Bank TM Surveillance Tuning and Optimization Program.
- Conduct ATL and BTL testing.
- Collaborate with various teams within Bank to enhance, tune and retire AML reports and scenarios, implementing a comprehensive and ongoing program of improvements.
Skills, Competencies, and Experience Required:
- Knowledge of AML tuning, optimization, and scenario management.
- 2+ years of experience in Financial Crime, Compliance, and/or Regulatory roles.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or TM & Screening Platform Optimization.
- 3+ years of experience with Prime, Mantas and/or Actimize TM platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Hands on experience with systems like SAS, ACTIMIZE, Fircosoft, Finergo, etc., is preferable.
- IT application expertise in Oracle Mantas products including Mantas AML.
- Strong understanding of AML (Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Tax Evasion) and Fraud trends and typologies.
- Knowledge/ experience with analytical evaluation and tools (R, SAS, SQL).
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate use of analysis and professional judgment, quality control and high standards.
- Certification in CAMS is preferred.
- Experience in a financial institution, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, with at least 3 years in an AML and/or Sanctions compliance function.
- Knowledge of AML regulations and requirements including the Bank Secrecy Act, The USA PATRIOT Act, FFIEC BSA/AML Exam Manual guidelines, OFAC/ Economic Sanctions and Suspicious Activity Reporting.
- Must be detail-oriented with good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

- Execute and supervise ATL, BTL testing.
- Collaborate with various teams at the Bank to improve, adjust, and phase out anti-money laundering (AML) reports and scenarios, carry out a continuous and thorough improvement plan.
Skills, Competencies, and Experience Required:
- Expertise in AML Tuning, Optimization, and Analysis for scenario management.
- 3+ years of experience in Financial Crime, Compliance, and/or Regulatory experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or TM & Screening Platform Optimization experience.
