QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Information Systems and Operations Management, Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, or related quantitative field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as a Quant Analytics, Business Intelligence Analyst, Research Assistant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Operations Management, Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, or related quantitative field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Quant Analytics, Business Intelligence Analyst, Research Assistant, or related occupation. The employer will accept pre- or post-Bachelor's degree experience.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Processing, manipulating, analyzing and interpreting large datasets in SQL and SAS; Database management systems for efficient data retrieval and storage using SQL; Writing, Debugging and Optimizing code using SAS and Python; Using Teradata, Oracle, UNIX, and MS Office related products including Pivot tables, charts, graphs, and formulas in Excel; Statistical techniques using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and correlation analysis; Machine Learning algorithms using regression analysis, decision trees and clustering; Data mining, analyzing trends, summarizing findings and impacts and producing executive level reporting; Creating meaningful Data visualizations using Tableau; Developing strategic KPI metrics; Risk Analysis and creating risk based strategies; and Identifying process improvement opportunities and automating manual processes. Experience in the skills may be gained through pre- or post-Bachelor's degree experience.
