The Equity & Deferred Compensation Senior Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas, and exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. The Incumbent will lead and direct a team of professionals including management of people, budget and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations. The position requires strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills for negotiations at a senior level.
What you'll do:
Drives competitive and cost effective reward policies and practices for the Firm.
Responsible for developing and executing the firm's reward strategy, manage the key areas of reward, benefits and pensions and liaise with third parties to develop a consistent best practice approach.
Responsible for ensuring that reward practices are compliant with the relevant regulatory recommendations and requirements are also covered in this function.
Manages the vesting and share delivery of Citi's global stock award programs, including the treatment of awards upon separation from the company.
Responsible for designing and implementing plans for a function or business unit within a region. Sets strategy that has significant impact on compensation end results. Identifies and implement process improvements.
Partners with Legal, Tax, Payroll, Accounting, Transfer Agent, Human Resources, Global Equity Coordinators, Global Mobility and Systems on the administration of the programs.
Acts as subject matter expert on the vesting process for equity compensation initiatives and projects, including the development, testing and implementation of a new equity administration system.
Develops and deliver communications to participants and HR related to vesting events. Develop and deliver presentations to Human Resources and Global Equity Coordinators.
Provides superior customer service to program participants and Human Resources. Resolve escalated issues for clients.
Manages a team of Deferred Compensation professionals.
What we'll need from you:
10+ years of experience
Experience in Global stock plan administration (required)
Knowledgeable of tax allocation operations on deferred awards
Applies specific functional expertise in Equity/Deferred Compensation principles, practices and procedures in the completion of complex assignments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
Self-motivated and detail oriented
Proactive leadership and motivational skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Proven influencing and relationship management skills
Manages multiple projects across multiple teams and has the ability to influence decisions
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
