Your key responsibilities
- Supervision and Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of AR specialists across AR functions.
- Team management duties : Including hiring, new joiner training, probation review, processing resignation, time off request review, conducting performance evaluation, performance improvement plan, career development, arranging contingency plans when short-staffed for operation continuity, etc.
- Manage AR Processing team : Local AR team works closely with central processing team based in India, hence close monitoring is required to ensure accuracy and timeliness of cash applications and distribution of aging report.
- Invoicing and Billing : Oversee internal invoicing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness in billing customers for services rendered.
- Collections : Ensure the team processes incoming remittance, perform clearing of customer account balances in SAP, analyse discrepancies, work with Collection team and Engagement Team to clear aged open unallocated/unidentified remittance.
- Month End Closing : Supervise the teams to ensure all their month end closing tasks are completed accurately and timely according to company guidelines / policy
- Reporting and Analysis : Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable metrics, such as aging reports and cash flow forecasts, to provide insights to management.
- Process Improvement : Coordinate or drive projects involving defects fix, process improvement, system enhancement within SAP or outside of SAP to enhance AR efficiency.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functions, including Engagement team, Accounts Payable, GL team and other office branches to resolve matters impacting AR activities
To qualify for the role, you must have
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience and 2 years of managerial position
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and account receivables processes
- Experience in using ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
- Strong MS Office (particularly Excel), experience in using ERP systems and proficiency in SAP would be an added advantage
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
