JobRole/Responsibilities
As an IT Operations analyst your general responsibilities will include defining, developing, and deploying new security solutions as well as maintaining and supporting existing tools. Specifically, the day-to-day job responsibilities will be focused on the support of the Security tools and infrastructure.
These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Gathering appropriate information on the change to be Implemented
- Providing status updates to TAO's, Business Unit leaders and all other Stake Holders
- Conducting post-implementation reviews to validate the results of the change request
- Vendor interaction to resolve issues with minimal turnaround time
- Enterprise Change Management procedures and adherence to change requirements
- Daily monitoring for Windows and Unix application servers
- Own and coordinate resolution for incidents and coordinate with other teams for high priority incidents
- Supporting the Security Tools application infrastructure
- Picking up and resolving incidents
- Creating and implementing changes
- On call pager rotation
- Update technical documentation
- Train new hires
- Contribute ideas to create automation playbooks
Job Requirements
What can you bring to TD? Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:
- 5-7 years of experience as an IT Security professional supporting Windows and UNIX or mainframe-based applications in a multi-tiered environment.
- The ideal person will understand ITIL based change management and governance
- Content Delivery Network, WAF, Layer-7 security knowledge is an asset
- Knowledge of managing DLP and Endpoint Threat Protections would be an asset
- Vulnerability application knowledge would be an asset
- OS knowledge – Windows/Unix
- Understanding any of these applications: Crowdstrike/Windows Defender, Symantec DLP, Netskope/Guardicore, Guardium/Qualys, Encase, Content Delivery Network (Akamai/Shape), Verodin (BASP), Demisto, AppOmni, Data Center Security (DCS)
- Reviewing and maintaining up-to-date support documentation
- Experience with On-call rotation for after-hours support
- Ability to analyze log files and packet captures
- Good social, communication and technical writing skills
- Ability to work in and adapt to a changing environment
- Should have good leadership and change governance skills.
- The ability to take charge when tough decisions need to be made.
- Understanding the rules when creating and performing changes that do not cause any audit issues.

- Being able to talk with many different groups within the bank and understanding everyone's needs.

- Not all issues can be looked at the same way. Being able to problem solve by coming up with different ways to resolve an issue.

- Not all questions or problems are clear. Being able to critically think allows you to understand the end goal and coming up with a solution that helps everyone.

- The ability to learn. We cover many different applications on different platforms.
- Efficiency.
- Our day to day is multi-tasking. You need to schedule your day to ensure you can complete your activities with minimum errors.
- Change Planning and Scheduling.
- A part of Efficiency. You might have to schedule multiple changes for different applications each day. Change windows are short and you need to be able to schedule your change along with other resources properly.
- Risk-management skills.
- You're going to be asked to do things that could potentially cause issues. An example would be to block a very large range of IPs without the proper investigation. Your Interpersonal and Negotiating skills will be necessary here to talk with those stakeholders and come to a reasonable agreement. Along with our problem solving skills, you'll be able to identify the proper course of action.
- This role involves shift work (9am to 6pm, 12pm to 9pm) and after-hours / weekend on-call support on a rotating basis.
