Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
- Manage creation of convincing design concepts for the SMSU assets & events mainly through colour stories and graphic applications
- Ownership for multiple sports categories and product types (App, Footwear, ACC and Gear)
- Ensure proper product creation on the products offered by the Sports Marketing Service Unit through preparation of colour sketches, graphic designs and design packs based on inline design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple sports categories in regard to creative strategy, project planning and on-time execution together with x-functional team
- Modify designs of the international inline range considering adidas standards and technical feasibility (e.g. CI, color strategy) to meet internal and external customer needs
- Create colour stories for SMSU ranges in accordance with global adidas design direction and customer specific needs
- Create customer specific graphic designs and develop inline graphics further according to SMSU needs.
- Create professional presentations and mood boards in order to effectively communicate design concepts internally and externally.
- Prepare design packs in 2D and 3D and other handover documents according to SMSU modifications. Ensure technical accuracy and to support a smooth workflow in development process.
- Working with 3D tools for presentation purpose and enhancing design decisions
- Collaborates with inline design, marketing and development teams regarding color schemes, color stories, graphics and placement ideas based on the customers needs, technical feasibility and brand objectives
- Ensure accordance of customer wishes and adidas brand standards in all design related work.
- Be a strong influencer in the x-functional team to drive the range towards design vision.
- Support the daily work and development of junior team members.
- Handle external design capacities / freelancers.
- Creating 3D concept representation, 3D assets, digital product information for an accurate development and decision-making process

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of art and design with clear understanding of visual design concepts and an extraordinarysense for color, color combination, their application and color trends
- Good overview of today’s sports products from all areas
- Knowledge and use of Macintosh computer design software/systems
- Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite
- Ideally skilled in 3D programs as ClO3D
- Strong presentation and communication skills.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to self-responsibly handle complex projects / multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to set priorities in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines
- Fluent in English (word and writing)
- Strong 3D skills and knowledge of virtual tools are required
APP tools: Clo3D, Browzwear, VStitcher or similar 3D fashion design tools
FTW tools: Rhino, Modo, ICAD Pro, or similar 3D design tools
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified to degree level in Design/Trend related studies, preferable in the area of fashion or graphic design
- Experienced in Color Design and/or a creative environment, fully trained and qualified in the area of Product or Color Design
- At least 4 years theoretical experience in the field of Color Design either through education, studies or training
- 4 years related practical experience
