The Senior Manager, Product & Credit Governance Lead is required to provide oversight of credit decision frameworks, ensuring credit exposures comply with UK FCA regulations including responsible lending practices and affordability assessments to help safeguard credit quality and support sustainable and compliant business growth.
Job Description:
In your role as a credit risk manager, you will:
- Manage UK credit policy change governance, working also with global credit team as needed to appropriately update policy and procedure documents, and log any changes.
- Interact with global credit compliance and legal teams to confirm that the credit policies are compliant with applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Manage timely compliance with credit risk-related legal and regulatory requirements, attend the corresponding Regulatory Change Forum, and lead regulatory compliance projects
- Interact with the Regulatory Reporting team to oversee the forbearance and non-performing exposure reporting to FCA and credit related reports to BCL.
- Monitor policy execution to ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures, and log potential policy breaches, investigation results, and eventual resolutions.
- Interact with global credit control and operations teams to become aware of any operational issues/incidents as they arise and inform PayPal UK management on root causes, remediation plans, financial impact, and preventive actions.
- Verify the accuracy of the periodic portfolio level credit risk appetite reviews.
- Draft and coordinate credit-related parts of various daily reports to the regulator, such as Self Assessment Questionnaire, Short Form Report.
- Conduct Credit Risk Assessment as well as Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity Management including sub-sequent updates.
- Participate in credit audits and inspections to provide support to internal and external auditors on all these activities as needed.

UK credit risk governance oversight model, includes credit/collections policy and product pricing change proposal reviews, policy documentation, monitoring of correct execution of these policies, and monitoring of the performance of the portfolio in relation torisk, credit risk appetite, model management, collections, outsourced services, and forborne and non-performing exposures, as well asoff on regulatory reports prior to submission, and running or contributing to several governance committees/forums.In addition to the BAU process execution and documentation, there are ad hoc projects with varying degrees of complexity, including operational readiness for new credit products/markets, adaptation of governance practices to emergingincluding new Deferred Credit Payment (DPC) regulation preparation of responses to FCA inquiries, as well as participation in internal/external audits and regulatory inspections including the remediation initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
