Key job responsibilities
• Build deep relationships with customers to become a trusted advisor for their most critical workloads that support their digital transformation and journey to the cloud.
• Support achievement of revenue objectives through the adoption and migration of applications, software, and services onto the AWS platform, in partnership with the sales team.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Contribute to AWS internal and customer-facing publications such as white-papers and blogs as a means of scaling your knowledge.
• Act as a liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support to address customer needs.
• Ability to travel within the city or province, and up to 15% out of the province to meet customers
• AWS training during the onboarding process (typically the first 3 months) may require travel to the United States for up to 5 consecutive days.

Day-to-day; Gather business requirements (both functional and non-functional), Propose solutions, Proof of concepts, Demos (presenting technical topics to a non-technical client audience)SAs typically are:
• Passionate about designing and guiding cloud architectural builds
• Dedicated to accelerating and scaling innovation, reducing costs and driving efficiency
• Hands-on, getting into details, and possibly writing demo / proof-of-concept code
• Already broadly capable in architect roles, with plenty of hands-on experienceAbout the team

Hybrid Work

- 5+ years in a technical solutions architect role, designing, implementing distributed applications, databases, Analytics, and networks.
- 1-2+ years of exposure to public cloud
- Client-interfacing experience

- AWS certifications (AWS Tech Essentials, AWS SA Associate, AWS SA Professional)
- Pre-sales experience and/or experience contributing to requests for proposal Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT managers, and developers
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies (e.g. ITIL, Zachman, TOGAF, etc.) Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
