What you'll do

As a Backend Developer (f/m/d), you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our GenAI applications focusing on regulatory documents under our “BTP Compliance Engineering” team. While you do not need to be an AI/ML expert, you should have a strong background in backend development, containerized deployments, and cloud-native technologies.

As a working student (f/m/d) you will support our team by working on a concrete project to develop Compliance Engineering:

• Maintain and support backend services that support our AI application
• Collaborate with front-end engineers and data scientists to integrate AI models into production services
• Contribute to and learn about Security, Data Privacy and Threat Modeling
• Maintain documentation and the team internal knowledge base
• Work on Proof of Concepts (PoC) for Compliance topics

What you bring

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
• Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering
• Proficiency in one of the following languages: Python, Java, JavaScript and experience with backend frameworks (FastAPI, Spring Boot etc.)
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-based technologies and tools
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
• Experience with code quality tools such as SonarQube
• Experience with database (SQL and NoSQL)
• Language skills: Fluent in English; German as a plus
• Soft skills: Team player, expert in organizing, creative
• Others: Good communication skills
• Location close to Walldorf to be albe to commute to the office
