As a Senior Data Engineer on this team, you will drive efficiency in data handling processes; build and maintain data pipelines and associated infrastructure; partner with business intelligence engineers, data scientists, and software development engineers on the data infrastructure for a broad range of downstream products and uses; implement data governance and data security practices; and develop other technical solutions that support the scale and growth of the Private Pricing Program. You will work collaboratively with the business leaders (including the VP of Private Pricing), operations, and engineering teams on many non-standard and unique business problems and support business initiatives by collecting required and related data from external/internal sources.Key job responsibilities
- Build and maintain infrastructure for data pipelines and data lakes
- Write efficient and well-documented code for the ingestion, manipulation, analysis, and distribution of complex datasets
- Develop and implement engineering solutions that follow strict data security and data governance requirements
- Translate ambiguous business problem statements into infrastructure and engineering requirements, and execute against those requirements- Troubleshoot and address operational quality issues on data pipelines and infrastructureAbout the team

- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices
- Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing

- Experience operating large data warehouses
- Experience developing, deploying, and managing production data pipelines in AWS
- Experience deploying and managing machine learning models deployed into production
