ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Director of Software Development you will oversee development efforts and architectural designs, guide project vision, be a product owner for development projects, and hire and develop engineering talent. In this role, you will manage a team to design, develop, test, and deploy massively scalable creator tools and services. You will work closely with product managers, engineering leaders, and leadership across the company to develop a roadmap and feature set to deliver the best possible customer experience.

- Complete the software development lifecycle: defining, prioritizing, designing, and leading implementation and testing of new features within an Agile environment- Define, manage, and improve the software and product development processes by working closely with high-performance engineers- Coach and mentor our high-performing architects and engineers to help them grow their skills, enhance their knowledge of our systems and their ability to get things done, while enabling them to be future leaders who are focused on building a high growth and inclusive culture

- 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
- Experience partnering with product OR program management teams
- 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
- 3+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience leading full stack development web teams
- 5+ years experience of software development and deployment of distributed multi-tier applications
- 3+ years experience managing agile software projects across multiple and geographically distributed teams
