As a Advanced Test Engineer, you will work closely with the development teams, testing in parallel, to uncover performance and capacity issues in preliminary designs.

Focus areas:

• Effectively perform software testing tasks with minimal supervision to uncover defects in software builds, within an agile/scrum environment. Tasks include a range of testing activities across the full software development lifecycle.
• Record clear reproduction steps for all defects found, logged in defect tracking system, and work closely with development teams to have defect resolved.
• These tasks involve the authoring and execution of manual testing as well as the development of automation scripts (to replace the manual test cases).
• Actively analyse testing results to uncover trends and patterns in software quality.
• Ability to assist in investigation and reproduction of customer issues, to reduce the support load on development teams.

Key Experience & Capabilities:

• 5+ years testing experience, with experience in system performance/capacity testing.
• Experience with C#
• Experience with the Ranorex Automation Suite
• Experience with building automation code using various tools (NodeJS, Python, batch files)
• Experience with Jira (defect and task tracking software)
• Behaviour driven development languages (e.g. Gherkin)
• Automation test case development and execution
• Traceability of test cases to requirements
• Testing within an agile/scrum environment
• Experience driving automation for large and complex end user products throughout software development lifecycle
