You will design products to meet customer needs, product quality, manufacturability, new product development, prototype builds, testing, and may serve a project manager role for smaller development projects. You will develop the product designs necessary to drive product improvement and will be integral in securing present and future business by consistently meeting or exceeding Voice of Customer requirements.

• Meeting budgeted hours, planned schedule, and agreed-upon level of quality on assigned project work
• Communicating with the project manager on required changes to budget, schedule, or quality level on assigned project work
• Communicating with the project manager on progress on assigned project work
• Review & Clarification customer requirement and specification and preparation of project requirement and MODQ (Modular Design Questionnaire)
• Preparation of Technical Requisition for Modular Piping Design (R801D) including Piping Material and Valve Specification.
• Preparation of Technical Requisition for Modular Piping Fabrication (R801F)
• Preparation of Technical Requisition for insulation design including insulation thickness calculation (R907D)
• Preparation of Technical Requisition for insulation Installation (R907F)
• Consult with Sub-Contracted Detail Design firms on Piping issues
• Participate 3D Model review meeting with Customer and detail design company.
• Attend Fabrication shop and site visits to provide clarification and interpretations of drawings and specifications and troubleshoot related to piping
• Participate in system design activities such as:
  o P&ID development
  o Piping Line List, tie-in list and piping specialty item list
  o Prepare requisitions for procurement of PSV and Piping Specialty items such as strainer
  o Involve in bid evaluation of requisitioned components
  o Review and approve detail designer and supplier documents and drawings
• Inspect requisitioned components at supplier’s premises, or fabrication shops and prepare associated inspection reports and release notes. Attend kickoff and Pre-inspection meetings.
• Working effectively with team members
• Checking the work of others for technical accuracy and compliance with established guidelines and procedures
• Communicating key decisions made on projects to others
• Support developing andreviewing Modular Project Technical proposal

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 10+ years’ experience in the Piping Material Engineering
  Knowledge and experience in using applicable codes such as: ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, ASME BPVC, API, ANSI, ISO, MSS and NACE etc
• Experience in reviewing engineering design data for completeness and consistency prior to completion of Issue for Fabrication releases
• Familiarity with Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemical Piping materials with respect to piping and related components
• Familiarity with Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemical piping fabrication, examination and testing
• Familiarity with MS-Office in producing documents, especially for calculation sheets using MS-Excel
• Multi-tasking abilities to maintain contributions on schedule for several projects simultaneously
• Ability to communicate well with detail designers, suppliers and fabricators in both written and verbally
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to travel 10% globally on an annual basis

• Oil / refinery or petrochemical industry experience is preferred, but will also consider power / energy, food, or other chemical processing experience
• Piping layout &Stress experience is preferred
