If you are enthusiastic, committed and looking to apply what you’ve learned to real-world financial experience, then this is the role for you.

In ever-changing global markets you’ll spend your time exploring the sophisticated financial solutions we deliver across asset classes. The skills you develop and the professional network you build and support will serve as a solid foundation for your career.

What You Can Expect

The summer internship is a nine week program running June to August and is targeted at penultimate year or final year students and is a pipeline to the full analyst programme the following year.

Throughout your nine weeks with us, you’ll support senior colleagues with key research, evaluation and preparatory work. You will monitor markets, develop trade ideas, conduct portfolio reviews, and learn about the solutions and products we offer for clients to manage any market conditions. Your work and contributions will be valuable to the team from the start.

Dedicated instructors and J.P. Morgan professionals will teach you about our history, the scale and scope of our organisation today and our exciting plans for tomorrow. We’ll teach you technical and practical skills that will help suitably prepare you for your desk.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. We strongly encourage you to submit your application as early as possible as programs will close once positions are filled. The majority of Assessment Centres are taking place between September and December. If successful, a matching process takes place in the February before you start, whereby you will take part in a selection of speed networking sessions with all available desks within Research. You will then be asked to rank order all desks, for which the desks will carry out the same process – we will then look to match desks with interns with the highest collective match.

About You

Additional requirements include:

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills for the country to which you are applying.
  • Willing to take on some responsibility and manage your own projects in collaboration with your colleagues.
  • Graduation date from April 2025 to December 2026

Please note, not all hiring desks require specific languages however there will be some that do. Please ensure you list your language fluency skills on your application form to help us identify the most appropriate opportunities for you.

We recommend that you apply to one Markets program only

Help us learn about you by submitting a complete and thoughtful application, which includes your resume. Your application and resume is a way for us to initially get to know you, so it’s important to complete all relevant application questions so we have as much information about you as possible.

To start the application, you will be prompted to enter your email address. Your email address will be used to create and maintain your profile so make sure it is one you will have long term access to. Do not use an email address with “.edu or .ac.uk” extension as doing so could result in delays receiving updates regarding your candidacy. After you confirm your application, we will review it to establish suitability for the role you have applied for.

The HireVue process is required, and your application will not be considered for further review until you have completed these three questions. We strongly encourage that you apply and complete these required elements as soon as possible.
