Responsible for monitoring and harmonizing the existing VAT logic in SAP and other VAT relevant systems globally
Perform the implementation of VAT settings for new countries in SAP and other VAT relevant systems
Responsible for executing the system updates according to the strategies and policies in place, as well as in line with indirect tax changes globally
Ensure the maintenance of the VAT relevant data in EDI links and tax coded globally.
Responsible to analyze the VAT systems implications of projects and decide on a correct VAT treatment and system implementation
Accountable to analyze and resolve (with IT) blocked and erroneous postings, invoice layout queries and other VAT related errors
Provide indirect tax and systems trainings to other departments when needed, as well as SAP indirect tax logic trainings to new countries
Responsible for suggesting process improvements, and suggest new working processes within systems area to ensure efficiency and excellence, as well as support their implementation
Ensure that the new tax codes are added to DART extraction for VAT compliance globally.
Responsible for maintaining files and documentation up to date and accurate, of supply chains, VAT treatments and the corresponding system handling

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience in working with VAT within European countries (other markets will be a plus)
Solid knowledge in SAP settings maintenance on VAT tables will be a plus
Profficiency in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced knowledge in MS Excel
Experience in shared service center environment is a plus
Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills to interact with business partners
Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a business setting
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a multi-team environment to achieve consensous decisions, always having adidas consistent growth in mind
Ability to pay close attention to detail and high degree of customer orientation

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, finance, tax, legal or other related areas
At least 3-5 years of progressive work experience in the area
