As part of EY Sustainability in MENA, you will join a growing team of local and international sustainability professionals in our Consulting practice. You will be driving the delivery and implementation of market-leading projects, consulting on key strategic issues in the region, building networks, as well as driving market activities and client-side delivery of sustainability-related products and services. There are a wide range of exciting projects that you will be able to get involved in, across energy, infrastructure, finance and government sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support organisations to develop sustainability strategies, set targets and deliver upon them. This includes calculating baselines, developing roadmaps for change and executing large transformation programs
  • Support organisations to identify and quantify risks, develop adaptation and mitigation plans, and support companies in executing these plans to increase business resilience and protect or create value

  • Support in designing and executing on value chain engagement programs, enabling transparency, managing risks, and ensuring compliance
  • Support in developing new business areas and products, meeting new client demands
  • Support in designing underlying data architecture to support business operations and reporting
  • Support in upskilling people through the implementation of learning platforms.

Skills and attributes for success

As a Senior Consultant, you would be expected to play a key role in the delivery of technical work. It is desirable that you bring the competencies that will allow you to do this, such as:

  • Deliver sustainability-related projects and/or programs of work.
  • Build strong networks with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive climate initiatives effectively.
  • Develop own ideas on how to support clients in their sustainability journeys
  • Support EY teams in their go-to-market activities (incl. events, thought leadership, project proposals)
  • Deeply understand the complexities of climate change and sustainability.
  • Strong communication skills are essential to convey complex sustainability-related concepts to clients and internal teams in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to lead and inspire junior staff.
  • Commercial awareness of market opportunities.

Qualifications

We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, but are particularly interested in individuals that have the following qualifications:

  • Strong academic record and a degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 2-6 years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrable evidence of delivering sustainability related projects and/or programs of work.
  • In-depth understanding of sustainability issues and their connection to business value.
  • Familiarity with sustainability best practices, including areas of transformation, supply chain, digitization, business model innovation, and value measurement.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and strong leadership skills, coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment to achieve project success.
  • Strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills to provide data-driven insights to clients.
  • Track record of success and relevant experience in sustainability / ESG at a top-tier consultancy, or other relevant organization.
  • A strong understanding of any, or a combination of the topics that we cover in our team as listed above.
