Role Overview

The Network Engineer is a mid-level position that will play an active role in the build out and maintenance of Secureworks’ corporate network.

Role Responsibilities

• Participate in projects focused on the implementation of network solutions that provide for scale and resiliency.
• Maintain and enforce network standards with regards to device configuration, routing protocols, device installation, etc.
• Optimize network performance through monitoring, timely upgrade of network devices and troubleshooting of network faults that focus on root cause.
• Maintain platform documentation.

• Work incident and requests for service within SLA as needed.
• On-call as required.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in a role as a network engineer
• Working experience and understanding of network and routing principles (OSPF, BGP, etc.)
• Working experience and understanding of switching concepts (STP, 802.1q, QoS, CLI) in a multi-vendor environment.
• Working experience and understanding Firewall concepts( Cisco,Palo Alto etc)
• Working experience and understanding of DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.
• Experience with vendor management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong understanding of change management processes.
• Experience with complex network troubleshooting.

Preferences

• Exposure to Dell networking technologies.
• Experience with public clouds.
