Job summary
As a Compliance Risk Management Director within the Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) team, you will play a crucial role in managing and refining the financial crime program to meet regulatory expectations. You will lead a team across multiple locations, interact with regulators, and provide financial crime updates to various committees. Your role will also involve assessing regulatory changes, promoting continual enhancements of the financial crime program, and supporting the Money Laundering Reporting Officer in key responsibilities. This role provides an opportunity to navigate a large organization, manage stakeholders across all lines of defense, and contribute significantly to the firm's compliance and risk management activities.
Job responsibilities:
- Manage country anti-financial crime program across 15 J.P. Morgan SE countries (Head office in Frankfurt and 14 branches)
- Interact with regulators in head office and branches through meetings, written responses and ongoing escalations
- Provide financial crime updates to the board, risk committee and relevant financial crime committee / forums
- Support design of annual control plan and execution of resulting monitoring and testing activities
- Engage with external and internal audit as part of annual review processes
- Assess regulatory change in partnership with branch Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs) to ensure program enhancements as necessary.
- Lead internal and external engagement in regard of EU Anti Money Laundering (AML) reform
- Drive continual review and enhancements of financial crime program to manage financial crime risks and meet regulatory expectations
- Support the J.P. Morgan SE Money Laundering Reporting Officer in execution of key responsibilities including client review, suspicious activity report (SAR) determination and sanctions compliance
- Seek opportunities to enhance and streamline processes through automation, centralization and removal of redundant processes across all locations
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Strong experience in financial institution anti-financial crime programs across a breadth of areas (such as Advisory, Investigations/ SAR filings, Know your Customer, Sanctions, Anti Money Laundering program, Monitoring and Testing)
- Understanding of European (and particular Germany) Anti Money Laundering and Sanction requirements
- Ability to assess financial crime risks and make decisions in line with legal and regulatory requirements
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage team members across multiple locations
- Ability to navigate a large organization managing stakeholders across all three lines of defense
- Experience of regulatory interaction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deliverables
