What a typical day looks like:
- Understand the requirement for site lead, compile the information, analyze, prepare the necessary document for the projects.
- Prepare the specification as needed for the project and budgets/ capex for different type of works.
- Coordinate, manage, and direct the design, planning, construction, maintenance and alteration of building structures, equipment, machinery, and other facilities infrastructures – Green field, brown field, Refurbishments/ retrofits, interior fit-outs, etc.
- Prepare executive summary in prescribed format and present to the management as needed.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders at respective plants across the Penang cluster for projects.
- Coordinate with architects and or Project managers for their deliverables.
- Preparation of schedules, review of schedules submitted by vendors, follow up for submission of statutory documents, verification of measurements, certification of invoices, compiling of documents.
- Coordinate with internal team for issuing of POs or payments or site clearances from site facility team/EHS team for necessary clearances as required for execution of projects.
- Follow up with project managers for closure of project.
- Analyses and standardizes various facilities procedures to improve efficiencies.
- Defines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Assigns duties for subordinates and examines work for conformance to policies and procedures.
- Ensue all the KPI (Key performance indicators) are delivered on time.
- Coordinate and work with the other teams on various sustainability projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- B.E. (Civil /Mechanical/Electrical)or any equivalent graduation with relevant work experience preferred.
- Experience in coordination and execution of Civil & Interior or Industrial projects for minimum of 5-7 years.
- Exposure to FTZ (Free Trade Zone) documentations and statutory requirements – DOE, DOSH, BOMBA, MBIP/MBSP, CIDB, TNB, etc.,
- Good knowledge on project planning with MS Projects for scheduling, well versed in Auto CADD and drawings preparation, excel, word, MS office, MS outlook, and preparation of Power Point Presentation.
- Idea on local market price for different material for construction industry
- Idea on apex validation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good analytical skills
- Having prior experience and knowledge on manufacturing operations will be an added advantage.
