As part of the job's key responsibilities, the security incident responder will be expected to:
- Respond promptly and efficiently to security incidents as well as conducting post-incident analysis.
- Detect and respond to threats in network environments.
- Use Splunk and other SIEM tools to identify potential security incidents, create incident reports, and provide an initial assessment of the incident’s impact.
- Coordinate response efforts and help remediate identified threats and vulnerabilities.
- Standardize and automate incident response functions and workflows.
- Enhance and maintain playbooks and other documentation for incident response activities.
The ideal candidate would possess:
- 5+ years of experience in a Security Incident Response role or a similar position.
- Excellent understanding of computer networking and common internet protocols.
- Proficient with Splunk and other SIEM tools.
- Familiarity with different types of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, evasion techniques, attack vectors, tools, techniques, and procedures.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts in simple terms.
- Flexibility to adjust to different time zones and working hours as per the requirement.
- General understanding of SAP corporate, its functions, and processes.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience working in a Security Incident Responder role.
- Any additional industry-relevant certifications (like GCIH, ECIH, CISSP, etc.) would be a plus
