The Purpose of the Role

The Sr Channel Operations Specialist will own the execution of the channel partner program in the META region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the delivery of the Catalyst Partner Program to the META channel partners across three Building Automation businesses represented in the region.
  • Partner with regional and GBE channel marketing teams to execute strategies to support channel growth KPIs, including growth in MDF usage and ROI, partner engagement and retention metrics, and rebate program design.
  • Partner with sales and commercial excellence to develop and manage target list of new potential channel partners, develop strategies to attract and recruit new partners to support revenue expansion and growth objectives.
  • Conduct competitive program analysis in partnership with regional commercial teams. Suggest and implement regional program improvements to continue positioning HON as the preferred partner.
  • Working with each GBE (division) Channel Excellence leader ensure regional channel partner footprint is aligned to strategic plan and AOP objectives, including vertical and geographic coverage.
  • Generate channel reports for the META region and represent it in monthly channel team reviews with functional and business leadership.
  • Drive annual partner tier alignment and program launches for the region.
  • Encourage and drive adoption and usage of digital program tools, such as the partner portal, positioning and reinforcing it as a value-added program benefit.
  • In partnership with the regional legal and commercial teams drive distribution and signing of program agreements and contracts.
  • Drive adoption of channel-facing marketing processes, such as the MDF and promotions submission/review.
  • Champion and deliver Catalyst Partner Program training to internal stakeholders and regional teams.
  • Represent channel as needed at partner and industry functions, including channel advisory boards, annual commercial kick-offs and other events.
  • Partner with channel excellence and regional commercial teams to ensure partner POS and inventory data reporting compliance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • University level engineering degree (BSc or equivalent in Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • Significant experience (> 7 years) in Refining and/or Petrochemicals and/or Gas Processing Industries.
    Demonstrated Customer focus.
  • Strong Business acumen, bias for action and results driven orientation.
  • Ability to communicate with people at multiple levels in regional/global companies and build strong relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as good verbal, writing and presentation skills.
  • The position requires significant travel (50%) within Sub-Saharan Africa and the associated personal flexibility.
  • An ability to manage ambiguity and work independently.
  • Ability to work and communicate while travelling.
  • Role holder must be ready to cope with a wide range of cultural social issues.
  • Strong analytical skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Be fluent in English speaking and writing.
  • Be proficient in French speaking and writing.
  • Experience in a global organization.
