The position is based in Seoul, South Korea.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including: content license agreements under varying deal types, development and production agreements, IP agreements, ATL agreements, etc
- Conduct legal analysis on and handle issues arising through the lifecycle of content production and exploitation
- Provide guidance to external production partners
- Maintain close alignment with multiple internal cross-functional partners
- Manage, maintain, and update various templates
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience as an attorney, and membership in good standing in at least one jurisdiction
- Fluency in both Korean and English
- Strong business acumen, analytical capabilities and judgment. We value practical, solution-oriented thinking.
- Proven ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight timeframes & deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Preferred: A background in IP/entertainment teams at a law firm or experience in the media or entertainment industry as an in house counsel.
